I had to stop and realize that I needed help getting started as an event planner because Googling nonestop wasn't really working for me. I needed to create the opportunity to prove myself. I needed to figure out what strategies and structure I required to accomplish this. I needed to create, build, and focus my attention on tested and true methods that would work for me, and not on make-work projects.
And, trust me, it was a lot of trial and error. It was hard to let go of the old habits that were preventing me from being successful, and rerouting my energy into the details that actually work.
I had to understand my value, and not give my services away for free becuse charging more can actually attract more clients simply from the perceived value alone.
So, I hustled and charged what I knew I deserved to be paid, becuse while landing clients is important, landing clients you actually want is the real goal. And you can ONLY do this once you stop spining your wheels with the same time wasters that you've tried over and over (and over) again without success.
