Event Planning Time Wasters – The Non-Committal Client

Some people just can’t keep an appointment. When you’re in a service-based business such as event planning, and if you are dealing with a Non-Committal Client, you may receive messages full of excuses, so include a cancellation fee in your pricing strategy.

Your client may call to tell you something has “come up” that they have to attend to and they want to reschedule. Then when it’s time to meet, they call and say they have another meeting they can’t cancel.

A client who schedules and reschedules appointments, leaving you and your calendar hanging can hurt your bank account not to mention your valuable time.

Without a cancellation fee in place, you’ll go broke if you have too many Non-Committal clients. If you charge a cancellation fee, you will be compensated.
